Happy Eight Months, Felicity!

Some friends of ours gave us this horse to take Felicity's picture with to show how big she is getting. I thought I would take her picture with the tree before we took it down.

I guess our Christmas tree felt at home, because it put on all this new growth!

Christmas Day 2008

Felicity's first Christmas! We opened presents in the morning. Christie made the scarf David is wearing (it was not blocked, however). We had bacon, eggs, and polenta for breakfast. We headed up to David's sister Debra’s house in the late afternoon. Present there were Jim, Mark, Debra, Miranda and Brandon, Lucas, Scott, Sue, Matt, George, Lucinda, and Christie's parents. Felicity was not feeling well as soon as we got there. We let her open a present of some books, and that entertained her for a little while. David got her to go to sleep while Christie was eating, but then she awoke crying and we had to leave. She ended up being sick with a cold for about a week (poor thing).

Christmas Eve 2008

Christmas Eve we attended church with Christie's parents for a candlelight service. Felicity managed to sit through most of it quite nicely. We had carnitas burritos for dinner and attempted to play card games but were all too tired and so went to sleep instead.

Hello Santa!

Felicity had a very exciting weekend. On Saturday we went to the children's Christmas party sponsored by David's company. Felicity opened a present and then met Santa for the first time! She of course cried.

Later, Grandpa Jim came over and brought her a new highchair. Then he fed her sweet potatoes. This was the first time that she has had any vegetables. She thought they were pretty good!
