Wildlife Experience

My parents came out to spend a few days with us here and then a few days with us in Glenwood Springs. While my parents were here, we took Felicity on her first trip to Wildlife Experience.

She's still a little young for it, but she did sit through most of the movie about the coral reefs. She also enjoyed the animatronics. There was a scary alligator that would jump and hiss at you, and she thought it was really funny.

Kyla's Birthday Party

Our friends had a party for their daughter turning 2. We were happy to learn that it would be a pool party. Felicity loves the water. I only managed to forget her hat, her towel, and the birthday present. Good grief.

The water from the hose was a little cold, but Felicity wasn't about to complain. We did take her out once she started shivering. You could see the look on her face saying, "I'm not cold, Mommy. More sprinklers. "

Riding horsies is always fun.

Felicity enjoyed playing with Kyla and her big sisters. What a great day!

Annual Church Picnic

We had a good time at our annual church picnic. Felicity enjoyed the swings and all the attention from the older girls.

Great-Uncle Michael and Great-Aunt Susie Visit

We spent a pleasant July afternoon visiting with Jim and his brother Michael and sister-in-law Susie.

Felicity loves hats, especially Grandpa Jim's hat.

This July has been beautiful due to all the rain.

Love this picture!

Crayon on My Face

We were over at a friend's this morning, and guess who got ahold of a washable crayon. Beautiful, no?

Family Visit

We headed over to Jim's house today to visit with Felicity's Great-Aunt Kathy and Great-Uncle Rob.

Felicity's Aunt Lucinda and Uncle George were also in town, as well as her cousins Luke and Matt. Luke is her closest cousin age-wise.

Botanic Gardens at Chatfield

Today we made an impromptu trip to meet some friends at the Botanic Gardens at Chatfield. It was a pretty day and the gardens were uncrowded. Felicity enjoyed looking at the chickens, ducks, and geese. She knew what they were right away as she exclaimed in the high-pitched voice, "Shickens, shickens". As always, the dirt piles were a hit with the children.

Felicity enjoys water. I think she would have dove right into this pool if I had let her.

Hats, while not as awe-inspiring as shoes, still hold their charms.
